With an extensive background in sensory and consumer science, Wanni Xu brings a wealth of expertise to her new role, which aims to strengthen MMR Research's sensory capabilities and enhance its offerings.
With a background in food science and more than 20 years of industry experience, Wanni's professional journey includes significant roles with formidable industry players. She has served as the Global Sensory & Consumer Science Manager at Reckitt Benckiser, where she managed sensory and consumer studies for key categories including homecare as well as food. Prior to that, she held the role of Sensory & Consumer Insights (SCI) Scientist at Firmenich Asia and Consumer and Sensory Insights (CSI) Project Manager at Givaudan Asia, where she played an instrumental role in various sensory and consumer activities for strategic initiatives.

"Sensory science has a crucial role in shaping product development, and I'm eager to promote its significance." In her new capacity, Wanni Xu plans to leverage her expertise to facilitate a holistic approach to sensory research. "Sensory and consumer insights complement each other," she emphasized. "By integrating these perspectives, partnering closely and strategically with our clients, we can elevate and modernize sensory and maximize our client’s sensory ROI."
Wanni Xu's appointment will further strengthen MMR’s commitment to delivering exceptional insights and enhancing its sensory research offerings. Her unique background in both sensory and consumer insights is expected to contribute to the expansion of MMR's panel capabilities and drive the establishment of a Center of Excellence in Sensory practices within MMR Asia and globally.
